Baigalmaa Tsagaan
Baigalmaa, while representing capital city council, also serves as a board member of directors at several companies in the private and public sector in Mongolia.
Baigalmaa has gained a master’s and PhD degree in Japan. During 2002 and 2007, she was a coordinator, research expert, and project leader at Shizuoka University, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, and Joint Optometry Innovation Development Project of Joint Stock Companies of Hamamatsu. While she was working as leader of project subdivision which aims to develop Hamamatsu into an innovation city, she printed several scientific works, and created several international patents of intellectual property.
Dr. Baigalmaa has worked as a research associate at Harvard Medical School, and at the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in the USA between 2007-2009.
In 2010-2014, she worked as an associate professor at School of Informatics of Shizuoka University before coming back in Mongolia in 2014. While working in Shizuoka University, she initiated and led several projects which were funded by Japan’s Ministry of Education and the private companies of Japan.
Before being elected as a representative in Citizen’s Representative Meeting in 2016, she served as a Secretary at Mongolian People’s Party’s Think Tank organization and Strategy Academy, being responsible for the ‘policy of education and society’ and the research of public opinion.
