Frederique Covington

Frederique Covington – who goes by “Freddie” - is the Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing & Cross Border for Asia Pacific at Visa based in Singapore. In this role, she leads Visa marketing in over 40 countries in Asia and manages all aspects of Visa’s regional marketing efforts. She also sits on the Asia Pacific Executive Leadership team.
Prior to her present role, Freddie was the International Marketing Director at Twitter for all territories outside of the US (including Canada, South America, Africa, Russia and Asia) and was responsible for global business marketing for the platform, its partners and users. 
Before Twitter, she was the Chief Marketing Officer overseeing all marketing across enterprise, SMB and consumer for Microsoft in Asia Pacific.
Earlier, she held a number of leadership roles in advertising and strategy consulting, including Ogilvy & Mather and Y&R in Asia and in the US (New York and Los Angeles). 
Freddie’s work has been globally recognized, and she was named the most influential CMO for Excellence in Branding & Marketing at the World Brand Congress.
Freddie received both a BA and MBA from La Sorbonne University (CELSA) in Paris, France. She is a graduate from Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government for the “Women & Power” Public Policy Program. At present, Freddie is getting her Ph.D. in “Global leadership and change” from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California.
