Maiko Todoroki

Maiko Todoroki succeeded the current President position of the family company - Poppins Corporation - in 2018, being responsible for the whole of business operations and growth plans over its network of nurseries and elderly VIP care businesses across Japan and overseas. She has spent a total of 25 years abroad including UK, France, Singapore before she returned to Japan in 2012 and joined the company.

Maiko holds an MBA degree from INSEAD business school from which she graduated in 2006. She started her career with Merrill Lynch International in 1998 at the global Equities desk in London and then moved to the luxury goods industry first with Chanel Corporation in the marketing department in 2002 in Tokyo and subsequently Graff Diamonds between 2006 and 2008 and De Beers Jewelers until 2012 in London.

Since 2018, she has been a member of the 2050 Economic and Social Structure Committee under the Industrial Structure Council of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan.

Married with two children, and trilingual in Japanese, English, and French.
