Yumi Clark

Yumi Clark is currently the Vice President and Head of Product for Visa Worldwide Japan, Inc. Throughout her career in product management, her specialty has been creating new business and scaling them for large corporations. Using lean start-up and design thinking approaches, Yumi has evangelized the methodology of test-and-learn to build successful technology and financial services ventures in Silicon Valley, including at Capital One, Adobe, Intuit, eBay, PayPal, and a number of start-ups. Successes have included creating the first national online small business banking site for Capital One, as well as, growing the Intuit user payments ecosystem by 2.3x. Her main launches at Intuit have been growing a nascent invoicing business from scratch to 30% of all transactions in a $480M payments business to creating a mobile payments solution that integrates into QuickBooks, the leading accounting software for small businesses. Most recently, for her work, Yumi was recognized as one of the 2018 “Most Influential Women in Business” by the San Francisco Business Times. In addition to her professional achievements, Yumi has a passion for education and sits on the board of the San Francisco Children’s Creativity Museum, as well as, mentoring early stage start-ups with 500 Start-ups.

Yumi has a B.A., from the University of California, Berkeley and majored in Rhetoric and East Asian Studies. She also attended Kyushu University where she studied Law and Political Science as a Fukuoka Prefecture Research Fellow. Yumi currently lives in Tokyo with her husband and two daughters.
