Pat McKay is a board member and consultant to businesses and their families. She turned to a consulting role following a 25+ year career in industry, including as the CFO and in senior finance roles of Fortune 150, publicly traded and global companies in the consumer products and retail industries, including Office Depot, Inc., Restoration Hardware, Inc. and AutoNation, Inc., Dole Food Company, Inc. As partner and managing director of Templeton & Company, she heads her firm’s multi-family office practice. She frequently assists owner-led, entrepreneurial companies with an M&A advisory and CFO related support, including through her team’s post-transaction oversight of a client’s financial and family governance needs. Recently she assisted the owner of a retail client with the preparation and sale valued at $400 million. Earlier in her career, Pat was an audit manager with Arthur Andersen, an international public accounting firm.

Pat also has an extensive board service background. She was a member of the board of directors for publicly traded Office Depot, Inc. Passionate about her alma mater, Pat is past-Chair of the Florida Atlantic University Foundation and was a member of the Special Committee appointed for the selection of its new president. She is a member of the board of Holy Cross Hospital and chairs its Finance and Compliance Committees. Pat previously served as a member of the Advisory Board of an EMR health care technology company. An advocate of increasing board diversity, Pat is on the Global Advisory Board of Women Corporate Directors and is an incoming co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative as a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development, a business-led, public policy group based in Washington, D.C. Pat is a member of the iconic Orange Bowl Committee.

Pat has been a speaker at numerous conferences on topics of interest to the finance professional, operational executives and board members. An alumna of FAU, Pat was inducted into its alumni Hall of Fame. Previously, Pat was recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential People in Finance” by Treasury & Risk magazine. She was also recognized as an “Influential South Florida Business Woman.”
