EVOLVING EXPECTATIONS:  Boards' responses to rapid social change and current events

We'll examine how boards need to evolve to address rapid social change, and associated legal and reputation risk.  What board oversight is expected as the Me Too movement continues?  Should boards proactively evaluate relationships with firearms manufacturers after the March for Our Lives?  Have you considered data privacy changes in light of changing European regulations and in the wake of FaceBook's latest misstep?

Our speakers are both partners at Vinson and Elkins.  Vanessa Griffith is an employment lawyer and recently has focused on what issues companies and boards should be considering in connection with the MeToo movement.  Gillian Hobson is an expert on corporate governance and will share her perspective on best practices in this area.

Look forward to seeing you there!
