We are delighted to have persuaded one of our very own, Cindy Baier, the CEO of Brookdale and this month's very generous dinner sponsor, to share her insights into her multi-dimensional board career so far. She has been an independent board member (e.g. BonTon), a regular management participant in the board room and various committees' as CFO at various companies, and more recently as a CEO who is a member of the board. We will also explore the relationship between the CEO and an independent chair, how to focus on the business at hand when an activist is targeting your company, and how having a board that is now 50% women changes board dynamics. The intimate setting will include ample time for questions and participation from everyone attending this special evening.
