How to Secure Your First Board

Pam has 18 years of experience as a public company director, serving on six pubic company boards where she has been chair of the board, presiding director, and chaired audit and compensation committees. She has been involved in IPOs, equity and debt financings, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, auditor changes, sale of the company, cyber breaches, and planned and unplanned CEO succession. Pam is currently the Chair of the Board of Monotype Imaging and a director and member of the audit committee of New Residential Investment. Previously she was on the boards of Civitas Solutions, American Superconductor, Spartech Corporation, and Avid Technology. Pam spent more than 20 years on Wall Street as a managing director in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse First Boston doing mergers and acquisitions and financings for technology companies. She was also an officer of Oak Industries until it was acquired by Corning, and CFO of a high-tech start-up. She is on the boards of directors of the Center for Women & Enterprise and NACD’s New England chapter. Pam is co-chair of the Boston chapter of Women Corporate Directors and a member of the Boston Women Leaders Network, Massachusetts Women’s Forum and the Boston Club. She has a BA in mathematical economics and MA in economics, both from Brown University.
