WCD and KPMG Raad would like to invite you for an inspiring afternoon session on Monday 18 November 2019 at KPMG, Laan van Langerhuize 1, Amstelveen.
Theme of this session:
How to compete and build resilience in the age of disruption
From the 2019 Global CEO Outlook, a survey that KPMG undertook among 1,300 CEO’s, it appears that CEO’s are increasingly concerned about the uncertainty and volatility in the global economy. Business models that have lasted for decades are now under increasing threat as a result of digital disruption, business model lifecycles are shortening and the pace of technological disruption is increasing coupled with customers and other stakeholders placing higher demands on the performance of companies. How can you succeed in such a disruptive business environment, in the short term as well as in the long term? How can you deliver value and build your resilience? And what does this mean for the role of the directors of these companies?
Speakers
— Lars Kurznach and Raymond Timmer of KPMG’s Global Strategy Group will present the results of recent investigation into winning business strategies in the current and future business environment.
— Felix Lanters (Head of Equities, PGGM Investments) and Jaap van Dam (Principal Director Investment Strategy, PGGM) will look at the above questions from their position as investor, and will share what they expect from companies in general and supervisory boards in particular.
— John Forbes, director KPMG Makinson Cowell and consultant in the area of Investor Relations and Communication to capital markets, will share his experience.
