Non-adherence to medication protocol has a tremendous impact on a company’s bottom line. Currently, half a trillion dollars of avoidable cost annually, or 16% of the US healthcare economy, is driven by medication adherence issues. Not only is this a financial impact on the organizations you represent, but non-adherence can lead to addictions and counter-indications that impact organizational effectiveness, employee well-being, and the customers you serve. This session will be led by the Chief Adherence Officer, Cyndi Alexander, for AdhereHealth; it will be very interactive to create discussion you can take back to your boardrooms for further dialogue. 

Cyndi Alexander, BSN, MHA, CPHQ – Chief Adherence Officer: Cyndi joined AdhereHealth in 2011 and has more than 20 years of healthcare expertise focusing on product strategy and leads the Company’s technology-enabled clinical services delivery nationwide. Cyndi was previously responsible for quality, Star Ratings, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities for the Sterling Life Insurance’s Windsor Health Plan. Cyndi’s previous experience includes oversight of regulatory compliance and Joint Commission quality metrics for St. Thomas of Nashville, a multi-hospital system.

Cyndi holds a BS in Nursing and a MS in Healthcare Administration from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Mrs. Alexander is a former Baldrige Award surveyor, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) through NCQA, and currently sits on the advisory board for NCQA SNP surveys.
