Los Angeles/ Orange County Chapter Event

Los Angeles/ Orange County Chapter Event

We are excited to invite you to a discussion on cyber security. This is a topic that continues to be top of mind for many companies and board members as we continue to see an increase in ransomware attacks such as the recent Solarwinds attack. At the same time, a work-from-home environment has increased the type and number of vulnerabilities that companies are exposed to. This session will explore the role that the board should play in understanding a company’s risk profile, the type of questions to ask of management to determine the company’s readiness to deal with a potential attack.

Leading the conversation will be WCD member Sharon Garrett, who will share her experiences in both her role as CIO and as a board member in dealing with various cyber and data security events and challenges. She will be accompanied by KPMG managing director Leah Gregorio, who will share her experience and the trends she’s seeing in today’s environment.

Addressing cyber security needs to start in the boardroom.

Panel participants:

Sharon Garrett, Independent director, Ross Stores

Leah Gregorio, Cyber Security Managing Director, KPMG LLP
