A Fireside Chat with Tim Main.  Come join us for a lively discussion with Tim Main, Chair of the Board at Jabil, one of Tampa Bay’s largest companies. Tim is also on the board of Quest Diagnostics, a provider of diagnostic information services. Both companies have been honored for the diverse representation on their boards, and Tim has been a vocal leader on the topics of DE&I, ESG, and the many challenges of managing a diverse global workforce. Tim will be interviewed by our very own WCD Tampa co-chair Deborah Ellinger. 

Given Tim’s broad experience in manufacturing and global supply chains we hope he will give his take on how the Jabil board is dealing with strategic planning in this uncertain environment, with COVID continuing to affect US and international work forces, supply chain shortages, and other uncertainties that make longer term planning a challenge. We also expect the discussion will cover a variety of current boardroom topics and will allow for questions from the audience.

Jabil provides manufacturing solutions to many of the largest companies in the world – with a focus on electronics and advanced materials sciences. Tim joined Jabil in 1987 and rose through the ranks, becoming CEO in 2000, and Chairman in 2013. Prior to joining Jabil, Mr. Main was a commercial lending officer, international division for the National Bank of Detroit.  Mr. Main has earned a B.S. from Michigan State University and a Master of international management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
