HYBRID PROGRAM—The Forgotten Voice: Increasing Women of Color in the Boardroom
The lack of women of color in boardrooms is sobering, to say the least. From 2016-2020, women directors increased from 18 percent to 25 percent, but women of color directors remained flat at 4 percent. These forgotten voices are not only needed, they’re essential to board relevance and performance. Join Minnesota chapters of WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) and NACD in a hybrid event focused on the needs, advantages, and importance of having women and women of color on boards. Our dynamic and diverse panel will:
- Ground us with “must change” stats on gender diversity
- Share ways to attract and retain more women/women of color
- Present board success stories to empower us all
Panel:
Anne Ward, Women Corporate Directors
Art Hopkins, Global Technology Officers practice co-lead, Russell Reynolds Associates
Lorinda Burgess, VP of finance, Medtronic
Melodie Rose, shareholder, Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.—moderator
This is a hybrid event, and in-person seating is limited. (Virtual admission is free.) Please contact Kristen Ames ([email protected]) for details on how to register for either in-person or virtual by Nov 30.
