Washington DC Chapter Event

Washington DC Chapter Event
Dear Women Corporate Directors - Washington DC Chapter members

We hope your holiday season is off to a good start and is resembling some return to pre-pandemic holidays thanks to our vaccine makers!  We’re writing to announce our first two meetings for 2022.

Tuesday January 25th - 6:30 program – via Zoom

Gail Lione, Senior Counsel at Dentons and a member of our WDC Chapter, will moderate a panel with two of her Dentons colleagues on what to expect in the upcoming proxy and annual meeting season. Gail will be joined by partners Toni Weinstein (https://www.dentons.com/en/toni-weinstein)  and Walter Van Dorn  (https://www.dentons.com/en/walter-vandorn).

Both Walter and Toni concentrate their practices on corporate and securities matters in a wide range of industries, as you can see from their biographies.  In addition, Walter spent several years on the staff of the SEC earlier in his career. We look forward to a lively conversation on the anticipated new SEC disclosure rules, increasing investor and shareholder activist pressures, new proxy advisory firm guidance and trends for directors to consider in their board duties.

Tuesday April 26, 2022 – 6:30 program – location TBD

David Rodriguez, Retired Chief HR Officer, Marriott International, and Board Member, American Woodmark, will share his perspective on the work force and work place of the future and discuss the role of the board, and of course the compensation committee, in driving corporate culture and strategies to consider related to workforce needs as business makes the turn into what some are calling a new hybrid workforce model.

You won’t want to miss these important presentations. So please mark your calendars for both, and take a moment today to RSVP for 1/25 at Washington DC Chapter Event.

Sending our very best wishes for the holiday season.

We’ll look forward to seeing you IN PERSON some time soon in 2022!
