Rethinking Your Global Strategy
Current world events are forcing companies to reconsider their globalization strategies. Nationalism, war, cyber risk, and the pandemic are compelling companies to rethink supply chains, vendors, and manufacturing locations. It is not just capital-intensive companies that have been impacted, virtually every company has faced challenges that management teams and directors have not seen during their careers.
Areas this program will cover include:
- What are companies doing to plan for future disruptions?
- How can companies minimize the risks and still stay competitive?
- Will they have fewer production facilities closer to suppliers or their end markets?
- How much inventory needs to be stockpiled to meet customer expectations?
- Should the Federal government subsidize certain industries that are critical to the U.S. economy and if so, what will the cost be to the company?
- What are the financial implications and how will investors react to the decisions being made?
The panelists considering these complicated issues will be: Vivek Jain Executive Vice President, Global Operations & Technology at Analog Devices and Ann R. Klee an independent director at Wabtec Corporation and Sotera Health. Pamela Lenehan an independent director at ATN International and Rithm Capital Corp. will the moderate the discussion.
