A Special Campaign to Honor the Legacy of Retiring WCD Founder, Susan Stautberg
Seventeen years ago, at a time when women held only 10.9% of Fortune 1000 board seats, Susan Stautberg had the vision to create an organization for women who serve on corporate boards in an effort to not only provide governance education to board members, but also to serve as an advocate for greater boardroom diversity around the globe. With the help of several seasoned female directors, plans were developed and Susan’s vision became a reality as WomenCorporateDirectors Foundation (WCD) successfully launched its first chapter in New York in 2001.
Today, as Susan approaches her retirement, she can be proud that WCD has become a powerful organization with 80 chapters and thousands of members around the world.
We invite you to make a donation to the WCD Foundation as a way to support Susan’s vision for gender parity in corporate boardrooms and to help WCD as we continue to promote Susan’s legacy through our BoardNext initiative, which helps to build a pipeline of board-ready women through educational programming and mentorship.
For those who cannot attend the Visionary Awards, we offer an opportunity to make a personal contribution in recognition of Susan Stautberg. The levels range from $500 to $10,000. Click Here
