Dear WCD Chapter Chairs and Members:
Thank you for being an important part of WCD’s global network. We have recently been informed that regions of the network are considering resuming in-person meetings or planning hybrid events. Your safety is our greatest concern.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has provided guidelines for the U.S. and we believe these standards are good guidance to both our domestic and international chapters. Each WCD chapter that holds in-person meetings must comply with the CDC Guidelines and any applicable federal, state, or local regulations. Additionally, if the office/building where the WCD event is being held has COVID restrictions, the event must comply with the building/office regulations. For your reference, please see the links to the CDC Guidelines and the NorthStar Meeting Group.
Each chapter should also develop a COVID special event safety plan for each meeting. Some of the COVID-19 protocols are discussed in the readiness and planning brochure prepared by the CDC on COVID-19 events and gatherings.
As chapters and members consider gathering in person, we ask that you review the above guidance. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the WCD membership department at [email protected].
