BoardNext New York Chapter Event
Corporate Social Responsibility- More Than Window Dressing

Investors and other stakeholders increasingly are demanding that companies and their boards enhance the social responsibility and sustainability of their business practices. Companies should be focusing on a a higher purpose, or more specifically, a purpose beyond generating profits, not only to maximize ROI for shareholders, but also seek to enhance value for all stakeholders, leading to a more resilient business. A leadership that demonstrates care for purpose and people and a corporate culture that is built on trust, care and transparency.

Please join BoardNext as we hear from Drew Train, President & Co-Founder of OBERLAND and Independent Director for Summer Infant, Inc. After racking up more than a dozen national and global cause-marketing awards, and driving social change through tradition, digital, social and mobile campaigns, Drew Train co-founded OBERLAND, a purpose-driven branding agency founded with Bill Oberlander.

Since the beginning, OBERLAND has been championing the purpose-driven path to help marketers and nonprofits do good and do well, with clients including: the Blue Man Group, The Nature Conservancy, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), No Kid Hungry, and the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI).  Under Drews leadership, OBERLAND has cultivated powerful campaigns that have resulted in the changing of minds, hearts and perceptions. One of the many have been NYIT’s “The Future Is Ours” campaign which repositioned NYIT as a school that champions the 21st century geek. Students who tinker, invent, and create to shape the future of humanity.

Drew serves on the Board of Directors for Summer Infant, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUMR), a global leader in premium infant and juvenile products, as well as on the Board of Directors for National Alliance on Mental Health NYC.

We are sharing the report – On Purpose by Drew Train. A collection of pieces that lay out the future of purpose-driven advertising in the ever-changing media landscape. Give it a read and share. http://onpurpose.thisisoberland.com/
