On behalf of Women Corporate Directors Netherlands and KPMG, we are honored to invite you to the 5th RAAD Summer Session for Supervisory Board Members on Monday 26 August 2019 (15:30-20:30) at KPMG, Amstelveen.
Theme of this afternoon/evening session:
Critical Thinking and Decision Making under Risk and Uncertainty in the Boardroom
Keynote speaker
Phil Rosenzweig, Professor Strategy and International Management IMD Business School has focused his attention on critical thinking and managerial decision making. His book, The Halo Effect and the Eight Other Business Delusions that Deceive Managers, takes a critical look at the errors that pervade much business thinking. It was named Best Business Book of the Year by get Abstracts and was favorably reviewed amongst others in Harvard Business Review, the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Plenary discussions
Charlotte Insinger, a.o. President Supervisory Board Eneco, Jeroen van der Veer, a.o. President Supervisory Boards Royal Boskalis and Royal Philips, and Dorothee van Vredenburch, CEO a.i. Zorg van de Zaak will contribute to the plenary discussions by sharing their vision, knowledge and experience.
Participants The setting allows a group of mainly Supervisory Board (SB) Members of incumbent (e.g. Dick Boer, Louise Gunning-Schepers, René Hooft Graafland, Rokus van Iperen) and scale-up companies and a few personally invited Executive Board (EB) Members to cross-fertilize and share dilemmas & experiences which feed into greater thought leadership. In light of the overwhelmingly positive response to previous Summer Session meetings, the number of participants will be limited to 50 to ensure consistency across the group and to facilitate dialogue.
