Artificial Intelligence – What does the Future (and Today) Hold?

Your Experts: Rubin Gruber and Drs. William Hahn and Elan Barenholtz

Hosted by: First Lady Carolyn Kelly – Florida Atlantic University

In May, WCD had an inspiring Global Institute hosted by Hewlett Packard in their innovation center. There were two days of compelling panel discussions, and visits to local/global tech companies, plus presentations from emerging companies that have the potential to be the “next big thing” (think Shark Tank). It was terrific. The content made us think what we might be able to bring to our South Florida chapter in terms of tech and innovation!  Well, right here in our backyard is an exciting artificial intelligence environment at FAU.  Inspired by the innovative spirit exhibited by the professors and students, serial entrepreneur and board member, Rubin Gruber, has engaged in mentoring and supporting the AI program at FAU. Rubin knows innovation - he started, developed and sold 4 companies in the telecom space – taking 2 public, including Sonus Networks, an early adopter of VoIP. FAU is also partnering with a quiet giant of an innovative company in South Florida – Magic Leap. In case you haven’t heard, Magic Leap is a start-up based in Plantation that  has raised $2.6 billion – its investors include Google, Alibaba, ATT. Please join us as you learn about the latest in artificial intelligence from the experts, don the Magic Leap AI “Lightwear” and  play in the “Gruber Sandbox.”  AI is and will continue to impact every aspect of our lives! It will be a fascinating evening you won’t want to miss.
