Dear Members of the WCD-Washington, DC Chapter

Those of you who were able to join us on Feb 10th for our conversation about proxy issues in 2021 know what an enlightening and valuable discussion our panel led on this critical subject.  Many thanks to Hillary Sale, for her deep knowledge and skilled moderating, and to Victoria Harker and Gail Leone for their invaluable insights, with special gratitude to Gail, who both helped organize the program and then starred in it!

We hope you’ll mark your calendars for our next meeting, which will focus on cyber security - an equally critical area of concern to every organization right now. Our own Leslie Ireland, who spent much of her career in the intelligence community focused on national security issues, will be joined by Rick Ledgett, the former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA). Both Leslie and Rick now serve on corporate boards, she with CitiGroup and he with M & T Bank, so in addition to enlightening us on current global challenges, they will bring particularly relevant and timely perspectives for directors.

Spring may well be in the air by the time we next convene.  In the meantime, be - and stay - well!
